What is a Ta’veren
A ta’veren is a person around whom the Pattern of the Wheel of Time reshapes itself to serve a larger turning of the Age. Their presence subtly bends chance, probability, and even the lives of others, pulling events toward outcomes the Pattern requires. This influence is not fully controlled by the ta’veren, though strong will or decisive action can shape how the bending manifests. Some ta’veren affect only a small region or short span of time, while others can alter the course of nations and history itself. Their effect often appears as improbable luck, sudden turns of fortune, or coincidences that align with their goals. In practice, a ta’veren becomes a focal point where fate tightens and the world is forced to change direction around them.
There are Three known confirmed Ta’veren
The three ta’veren of their Age are Rand al’Thor, Matrim Cauthon, and Perrin Aybara, all from the Two Rivers and bound together by the Pattern. Rand, the Dragon Reborn, reshapes nations and history on a vast scale as he carries the burden of prophecy. Mat influences events through impossible luck and becomes a brilliant commander despite himself. Perrin alters the world more quietly, shaping loyalties and people through steadfast strength and empathy. Though their paths differ, all three are central points around which the Wheel turns to meet the Shadow’s rise.
The Ta’veren
